GWA welcomes Licudi apology
The Gibraltar Women’s Association has welcomed Justice Minister Gilbert Licudi’s apology in the wake of a public outcry at an incident of profanity in parliament aimed at independent MP Marlene Hassan Nahon.“We acknowledge that he has proven to be not only a gentleman in accepting blame for the incident, but also a man of integrity with no further excuses forthcoming,” the GWA said.“We hope that in the future greater control will be exercised by public figures in all aspects, but especially during Parliamentary sessions.”“We also would like to thank the Honorable Speaker for investigating the incident.”“The GWA hope that all of Gibraltar’s elected representatives can work together in the mutual aim of building a strong and united Gibraltar.”
